Humane Fort Wayne’s Pet Food Pantry is Positively Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – For many families, pets are more than companions. They’re comfort, connection, and family. And when times get tough, Humane Fort Wayne’s Pet Food Pantry is helping make sure those bonds stay intact. That alone makes it Positively Fort Wayne, but this effort is not only feeding pets; it’s also building stronger communities.

Humane Fort Wayne’s former location stays busy. Volunteers scoop, sort, and bag food that will soon help pets across the community. But this pantry is about more than what goes into a bowl. It’s about keeping pets where they belong: at home, with the people who love them.

“The pet food pantry exist because the program’s aim is to keep people with their pets as long as possible so if a barrier is just getting people some pet food I mean at humane Fort Wayne we’re willing to step up our donors are willing to step up and make sure that those pets are where they belong, which is at home with their people,” said Cody Jo Aldridge.
