INDIANAPOLIS — It’s one of the gateways to the Racing Capital of the World. The 16th Street Bridge of the White River connects downtown to Speedway and Haughville.
The city’s Department of Public Works says it’s overdue for repairs after decades of traffic. The bridge was built in 1946 and is showing its wear and tear.
