“He’s dead”: Documents explain how suspect in deadly Lincoln Park Avenue shooting was named by EPD

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An affidavit from the Evansville Police Department has revealed details in the investigation of a deadly shooting on South Lincoln Park Avenue that named Jacquese Crosby as a suspect.

According to Evansville Police, officers were dispatched to a report of a person shot in the 1200 block of South Lincoln Park Avenue just before 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. Officers at the scene said they were able to find a male victim, identified as 25-year-old Keshawn Almond, laying on the living room floor of an apartment with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Officers also say two small children were located at the scene. The two children said that another man had been inside the apartment, and the other man told them to leave the living room before they heard a gunshot.

The victim’s family told authorities they had attended a party with the victim the night before, and received a ride home from someone they did not know the name of. The witnesses told officers that a passenger in the vehicle went inside with them, and was alone inside the apartment with the victim for approximately 30 minutes…
