New ride service offers low-cost transit to Lexington’s entertainment districts

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lextran is launching a new seasonal downtown circulator service called LexRide starting Thursday, April 2.

  • Buses will come every 12–15 minutes and can be tracked in real time through the MyStop app
  • Rides cost $1 each way, with free transfers to all Lextran routes

According to a news release, LexRide will connect the city’s most popular entertainment districts, offering a convenient and fun way to travel downtown. The service will run Thursday through Saturday evenings from April through October.

“We’re excited to introduce LexRide as a new way to experience Lexington,” said Fred Combs, Lextran general manager. “This is a great example of partnership turning into real, everyday benefits for our community.”
