VINTON, Va. (WDBJ) – A child abuse story is getting national attention after babysitter Carly Webb was caught on camera abusing an 18-month-old toddler.
Tyler and Madison Boothe say she wasn’t just a babysitter, she was a close family friend. “She could’ve killed our daughter, Haisleigh. That girl is gonna serve 365 days in jail, if we’re lucky, and she could have killed our daughter who had no voice to speak up for herself.”
Tyler and Madison Boothe are high school sweethearts, and have two children together. They’ve made many memories in their first home; some good and some they’d like to forget. Nearly three years ago, Tyler installed a camera in the living room despite his wife’s displeasure. Madison says it was an eye sore. “I remember telling Tyler I hated that camera being up there because I felt like it was a sore thumb, but it points to our front door to see who comes in and out. Thank goodness we had it but I remember giving him such a hard time for having it up there,” explained Madison…
