Kitchen Knife And Columbine Book Found In Student’s Bag At Lennard High In Ruskin

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old student was arrested at Lennard High School on Monday after authorities discovered multiple knives and a book related to the Columbine High School shooting in his possession.

The incident began at approximately 11:45 a.m. on March 30, 2026, when a school administrator received an anonymous report regarding a student carrying a weapon. A School Resource Deputy was notified and subsequently identified the student as Valentino Pileggi.

During a search of Pileggi’s backpack, deputies recovered a kitchen knife with a four-inch blade and a black handle, as well as a pocket knife.
