A Wilmington man is behind bars in connection with what State Police said were two road-rage related incidents, one of which involved gunfire.
Troopers investigated one incident on Route 1 near Wrangle Hill Road February 6th at about 3:00 p.m. in which a motorist pointed a handgun at two other travelers. The two victims had reported that the other motorist had been driving erratically and pulled out the firearm after a brief verbal exchange. He then drove away.
Then on March 10th at about 5:40 a.m., someone opened fire on an occupied vehicle on Route 1 southbound near the North Smyrna interchange (Exit 119). The vehicle was struck twice, but the driver and passenger were not injured.
State Police said an investigation led to identification of a suspect vehicle, and the driver was pulled over March 18th in Wilmington. Arrested was 61-year-old Curtis Reed. Police also said a loaded handgun was found concealed in the vehicle…
