A Worcester City Council subcommittee is recommending an increase in illegal dumping fines.
The Committee on Municipal and Legislative Operations is recommending the council revise an ordinance on illegal dumping, increasing first-time violation fines from $200 to $500 and second-time and subsequent violation fines from $500 to $1,000.
