Miles-long road rage incident in NW suburbs ends with man facing multiple felonies

A suburban man was facing multiple felonies in an incident stemming from road rage, with police saying he followed a car for miles, nearly crashing into it at times and pointed a gun with a laser at it before the scene finally came to an end outside a police department.

The incident unfolded Sunday, March 22, when two people drove to the Mount Prospect Police Station and told officers they’d been followed for seven miles by a blue-colored Jeep SUV that had been driving aggressively behind them.

According to police, the two victims said they first noticed the driver of the Jeep, later identified as 38-year–old Edwin C. Laguna, of Wheeling, was gesturing towards them and possibly flashing gang signs…
