The operation targeted a home known as a hub for criminal activity, leading to the arrests of two alleged gang members. Federal authorities moved swiftly to charge the men, highlighting ongoing efforts to curb gun violence in the city’s troubled neighborhoods.

FBI agents executed a search warrant on March 23 at a house in the 6800 block of South Claremont Avenue. Upon arrival, they encountered a 16-year-old girl who had reportedly run away from home and was staying at the location after connecting online with someone using the name “Smokey.”

The agents proceeded to search the two-unit building. They discovered Julian Torres and Brandon Osorio hiding in the attic of the second-floor unit. Both men, identified as members of a local street gang, faced immediate detention as the sweep continued through the property.
