Joe & Franks, a longtime staple in Oak Lawn known for dishing up sausages, smoked meats and other Eastern European delicacies, will close its doors for good on April 4, ending a family-run business established in 1976.
The business announced the closure in a Facebook post, thanking customers and employees for decades of support.
“To every beginning there is an end. Joe & Franks Homemade Sausage will be closing its doors on Friday, April 4th,” the post read. “We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our customers and employees for your support over the past 50 years.”…
