JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A former Jackson police officer indicted for the death of a man in police custody wants a judge to exclude medical evidence and dismiss the charges.
Avery Willis’ attorney filed three motions this month seeking to exclude the medical examiner’s testimony, homicide ruling, and dismiss the indictment for second-degree “depraved heart” murder.
