Man facing drug-related charges following Plaquemines Parish overdose

PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Belle Chasse man was arrested in early March as the result of an overdose investigation.

According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on March 3.

Through an investigation by the PPSO Drug Interdiction & Criminal Enforcement Unit, deputies identified 20-year-old Jaedon Voisin as a suspect in the matter.

A search warrant was executed on his Belle Chasse home, where detectives allegedly found “an undisclosed amount” of Psilocybin Mushrooms and multiple THC vape pens.

He has since been booked on charges of:

  • Distribution of a Schedule I CDS
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule I CDS (Psilocybin Mushrooms)
  • Possession of a Schedule I CDS (THC Vape)
