More than 40 air bags stolen from Hondas, Acuras in 1 week in 16th (Jefferson Park) Police District on Chicago’s NW Side

More than 40 air bags were reported stolen from the steering wheel of Hondas or Acuras on the Northwest Side between March 21 and 27, with a vast majority of thefts between the evening of March 24 and the morning of March 25, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.

Thefts were reported in the 5000 block of West Pensacola Avenue, the 5500 block of North New England Avenue, the 3100 block of North Natoma Avenue, the 5300 block of North Nashville Avenue, the 5400 block of North Melvina Avenue and in the 5000, 5100 and 5200 blocks of North Meade Avenue, according to police.

Thefts were also reported in the 5400 block of North Mulligan Avenue, the 6300 block of West Berwyn Avenue, the 6400 block of West Higgins Avenue, the 5200 block of West Roscoe Street and in the 3200, 3300 and 5500 blocks of North Normandy Avenue, according to police…
