Portland’s Killer Burger Plots Meridian Takeover Near Ten Mile

Burger fans along Meridian’s Ten Mile corridor are about to meet Portland’s cult favorite Killer Burger, known for piling on bacon and leaning into peanut butter and pickle mashups. Franchise partners have started shell work on a roughly 2,500-square-foot space near Ten Mile and Franklin, setting up a new fast-casual option for the busy stretch.

Franchisee Dave Edwards told local reporters the project is slated for 79 S. Ten Mile Road and that the team is targeting an opening just before or shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday, as reported by the Idaho Statesman. The same report notes the Meridian application includes a request to serve alcohol on site, which would allow beer and cider if approved.

Where It Will Sit

The Meridian restaurant will occupy a pad in the Discovery mixed-use development along Ten Mile, putting it in the middle of newer retail and residential growth in southwest Meridian. Listing materials handled by Summit Commercial and posted on LoopNet show co-tenants such as Starbucks and First Watch at the development.

What To Expect On The Menu

Killer Burger sells its burgers in three sizes, called pint, original (a 1/3-pound patty) and double, and every hamburger automatically comes with fries. The chain’s online menu lists the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon at about 1,540 calories and highlights premium dipping sauces including Peanut Butter Sauce and the spicy “Bomb” sauce. The brand also lists more than two dozen locations; see the menu on Killer Burger and the full list of restaurants on the Killer Burger site for full details.

Where Killer Burger Stands In Idaho

Meridian will be the chain’s second Idaho location after the first opened in Hayden in 2021, a move that brought Killer Burger’s Northwest profile into the state. That earlier expansion was reported when the company entered North Idaho, according to the Spokesman-Review.
