SPRINGFIELD, OR — Thousands of people gathered in Springfield on Saturday, March 28, for the “No Kings” protest and march, an event that began at 11 a.m. and drew more than 3,000 attendees.
The march began at Springfield City Hall, 225 N. 5th St., with protesters proceeding along Pioneer Parkway East before making a U-turn at Centennial Boulevard and continuing onto Pioneer Parkway West.
Participants held a variety of signs throughout the event. Multiple speakers also addressed a range of topics. Local police oversaw traffic control, temporarily stopping vehicles along the route to maintain safety for both protesters and drivers…
