First-Ever Costco on Tribal Land in the U.S. Approved in Arizona

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Ariz. — Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) and Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Mullin 360 signed a deal on March 11 to build a new Costco in Scottsdale, Ariz., which will be built on SRPMIC land. This will be the first Costco on tribal land in the United States.

The new Costco will span 21.5 acres with a 162,000-square-foot building footprint and approximately 994 parking stalls.
