A 40-year-old man is in custody after police said he went on a vandalism spree in an East Multnomah County neighborhood.
Christopher M. Kartzmark was taken into custody by Portland Police officers Saturday, March 28. He was evaluated at a hospital before being lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center for first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree theft.
“Thanks to coordinated efforts and quick response from our officers and specialized units, we were able to safely take this individual into custody and prevent further harm to the community,” said Chief Bob Day. “We appreciate the vigilance of residents who promptly reported suspicious activity.”…
