Police: Albany teen accidentally shoots himself on Lark Street, faces weapon charges

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) — Albany Police said a 15-year-old boy accidentally shot himself on Lark Street.

Officers responded Monday, March 30, at about 2:05 a.m. near Lark Street and Orange Street for a reported shooting. Officers found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his lower leg. He was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital in stable condition after treatment at the scene.

Police said the shooting happened inside a home near Lark Street and the boy’s injury was accidentally self-inflicted. The 15-year-old is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment…
