NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department arrested a man after he allegedly pointed a gun during a road-rage incident two months ago.
Alfred Benjamin Alston Jr., 65, is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm.
Investigators said the incident happened Jan. 23 on Dorchester Road near Joint Base Charleston, when the victim told officers she was stopped at a traffic light that changed from yellow to red. The driver behind her, Alston, began honking his horn and tailgating her, prompting her to change lanes to let the vehicle pass.
Instead, he pulled in front of her and blocked her path. He then allegedly pointed a gun at her at the intersection of Dorchester Road and Cross County Road. She continued driving westbound and lost sight of the vehicle…
