Charlottesville works to tackle both angles of local housing need

In Charlottesville, city staff and community partners are working multiple housing projects in an effort to both meet the growing demand and limit potential displacement.

Plans are underway on a low-barrier shelter, as well as a mixed-use development and affordable housing project.

Each proposal needs approval from the city before construction can begin.
