EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — When Lauren Maes answered her phone Friday morning, she could not have predicted the voice that greeted her.
“A gentleman identified himself as the case manager for one of the detainees who we are representing, and he said that I could come pick (the detainee) up from North Lake,” recalled Maes, who was immediately skeptical.
It had never happened that way before…
