Crews battle farmhouse fire in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Crews battled a farmhouse fire in Lancaster County on Tuesday morning.

According to the Quarryville Fire Company, crews responded to a house fire on Peach Bottom Road in Franklin Township at 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday.

The fire company said that firefighters arrived on scene and found smoke coming from the attic of a 2.5-story brick farmhouse.

Firefighters discovered a working fire in the building’s attic and worked to control the blaze. The fire company said crews assisted with removing plaster and lathe ceilings in the attic and with caring for the wood stove on the first and second floors…
