MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Law enforcement has a suspect in custody following a high-speed chase that crossed county lines.
Mobile trial set for first of five suspects in 9-year-old Cailee Knight’s deadly shooting
According to a spokesperson with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, a man was driving a Corvette and throwing items out of his window.
The chase began in Jackson County, Miss., and ended in Mobile County at the Circle K at 5809 US-90 East shortly after 9 p.m. Witnesses say the suspect got out of the car with his hands up and was then detained by law enforcement.
Officials were looking for “hazardous material” thrown out of the window on US 90 and Gulf Boulevard in Irvington.
It is not known at this time what led to the chase.
