TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Families can celebrate Easter with two free egg hunts hosted by the city on Saturday, April 4, including a special-needs-friendly event at Messer Park and the cityโs long-running annual hunt at Myers Park.
The day begins with the annual Eggs-traordinary Easter Egg Hunt for children with special needs from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Messer Park North Sports Complex, 2899 Jackson Bluff Road. Sessions for children with differing abilities will be held throughout the morning.
The first hunt starts at 9:15 a.m. and is designed for people with varying abilities, allowing children with a range of abilities and their siblings to participate together. A 9:30 a.m. session is scheduled for people with visual impairments, with participants able to find eggs using their ears. At 10 a.m., a session is planned for people who use mobility devices, featuring magnetic eggs on the rubberized field.
