On some early mornings, Gail Lyons of Worcester will walk across Brandon Road to have her morning coffee with her chatty neighbor Carol.
Carol is different from Lyons’ other neighbors. She stands less than 2 feet tall, is covered in black feathers and regularly lays eggs.
Carol is one of six chickens owned by Lyons’ neighbor Kitren Clair Farrell. She’s been raising chickens for more than two years, even though Worcester doesn’t allow it in the city…
