Police: Crack, Heroin, And Guns Found During Arrest

Wilmington Police have arrested a 40-year-old man on gun and drug charges following a joint investigation into suspected illegal drug sales in the city.

According to police, members of the Wilmington Police Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division, working alongside the New Castle County Division of Police Drug and Human Trafficking Investigations Team, had been investigating Robert Truitt in connection with alleged drug activity in the 800 block of North Monroe Street.

Police said officers located Truitt in the 800 block of North Monroe Street at about 2:12 p.m. on March 27 and took him into custody without incident. During the arrest, investigators recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 0.54 grams of heroin, 0.36 grams of crack cocaine, and 26 Suboxone strips…
