City of Rockport warns of temporary taste, odor changes in water starting May 11

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The City of Rockport will temporarily switch the disinfectant used in its public water system beginning May 11. Officials said the change may cause noticeable changes in taste and odor.

According to a statement released by the city on Monday, the system will transition from chloramine to free chlorine for approximately two to three weeks as part of routine maintenance.
