DES MOINES, Iowa — The Animal Rescue League of Iowa is celebrating 100 years, and to commemorate a century of care, the City of Des Moines declared March 30 “Animal Rescue League of Iowa Day.”
One century after its founding in 1926, the Iowa ARL is the largest nonprofit animal shelter in the state and provides care for over 13,000 animals each year.
