Lincoln is seeing a drop in serious crime according to new 2025 data

LINCOLN, NEB — The Lincoln Police Department has released its crime data for 2025.

According to new 2025 data, from the LPD Public Safety Report, Part I crime, which includes homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, burglary, theft, auto theft and arson, fell 14.1% compared to 2024 and is down 21.7% from the five-year average.
