Intoxication and Assault Lead to Arrest on Beverly Street
On March 27, 2026, Shreveport Police officers were called to the 3400 block of Beverly Street regarding a domestic disturbance. Investigators determined that a verbal dispute between a mother and her daughter, Melissa Woodard, turned physical. Woodard, who reportedly appeared to be intoxicated at the time, allegedly struck her mother in the head with a stick. Officers arrested Woodard at the scene, charging her with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery.
Felony Charges for Assault on Pregnant Victim
In a separate investigation, detectives successfully closed a case stemming from an incident in November 2025 on Illinois Drive. Ricky Sullivan Jr. was taken into custody on March 28, 2026, following allegations that he physically assaulted a woman who was five months pregnant.
