BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A South Buffalo family is demanding more reliable school transportation after months of repeated delays and missed pickups that have left their third‑grade son stranded before and after school.
Holly Montalvo says her son, a student at Lorraine Elementary School, has faced ongoing issues with his school bus arriving late, or not arriving at all, since the beginning of the school year. The problem, she says, has escalated in recent weeks.
“We receive a notification that says your student is not going to have a driver for their bus. ‘Is there any way that you can pick your student up from school?’” Montalvo explained. “Dismissal time at Lorraine is 2:45, and if you’re not able to get there, your child has to wait.”…
