Activism In Western New York: No Kings Protest Draws Large Crowd

Below-freezing temperatures and a light snowfall didn’t stop thousands of people all over Western New York from joining millions around the nation for hundreds of simultaneous protests.

The third No Kings Protest, which occurred communities from sea to shining sea, featured several concurrent protests around Western New York from Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo to Tonawanda, Amherst, Niagara Falls, Batavia, and other communities around the region.

This third protest saw many people up in arms and trying to raise awareness about the impacts from the war in Iran, plus what’s happening with energy prices and inflation, and how that’s impacting overall affordability for people in the third poorest city in America.

In addition to speakers and many signs of protest, attendees marched a mile up Delaware Avenue, past the local offices for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, before turning around and heading back into Niagara Square…
