CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Starting Wednesday, the 2nd and 4th street crossings on the Downtown Mall will be closed through at least June 12 for infrastructure improvements.
According to a city release, the project includes the removal and replacement of existing brick and granite pavers, along with concrete repairs and storm drain upgrades at both intersections.
To improve efficiency, minimize the overall duration of disruption, and ensure the work is completed in time for the Downtown Mall’s 50th anniversary, both crossings will be closed at the same time…
