A West Tampa icon is on the move, but they aren’t going far. Alessi Bakeries, a Tampa staple since opening in 1912, has debuted its new digs at the historic Tampa Letter Carriers building (3003 W Cypress Street). The Alessi team says it will open the new location to the public in April, and that could be as soon as this week, given that they’ve already hosted preview events and media expos as far back as mid-March.
The new location will feature more than just the beloved pastries and breads that have defined Alessi Bakery for generations. New additions include an expanded menu, a coffee bar, and a full liquor bar to enhance the dining experience. Customers can also look forward to upgraded parking and a new outdoor patio for gatherings.

The updated space will include new walk-in coolers and freezers, along with a mezzanine to optimize operations. Tampa-based JVB Architect, LLC spearheaded the design, blending the building’s historic charm with the modern functionality needed for a bakery and café.
Alessi Bakery’s grand reopening promises to combine its time-honored traditions with exciting innovations for its loyal patrons and future fans alike…
