CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Jurors heard emotional testimony Tuesday in the 2021 Eagle View Drive fatal shooting trial from the victim’s girlfriend, who said her ex-boyfriend threatened to kill the victim.
John Edward Bean IV, 44, has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Lee claims Bean was harassing her
Erica Lee told jurors she and Bean were in an on-again, off-again relationship for about 15 years before mutually agreeing to end it in September 2020. She said she made it clear she did not want to reconcile.
Lee said she heard from Bean again in December 2020, after he learned she was dating Trasbin “Tray” Campbell, who had recently been released from prison. “He didn’t want me to see Mr. Campbell,” she said. “He basically said I needed to stop seeing him, and if I didn’t, that he would kill him.”…
