BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington woman is facing charges after police say she assaulted a family member and barricaded herself in a bedroom Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 3015 Winston Drive around 10:13 a.m., according to the Burlington Police Department. When they arrived, they learned Tonya Mebane, 44, had assaulted an adult family member and had locked herself in a bedroom, possibly armed with a firearm.
