Grand Rapids triple murder suspect to stand trial

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man accused of killing his fiancee and her two sons in Grand Rapids will stand trial.

Charles Broomfield waived his preliminary hearing on three counts of first-degree murder Tuesday, though he didn’t appear in the courtroom.

He’s accused of shooting to death his fiancee, Jacqueline Neill, and her sons, 15-year-old Cameron and 13-year-old Michael Kilpatrick on Jan. 27 in the home they shared on Grand Rapids’ Southeast Side.
