Tom Izzo will undoubtedly be scouring the transfer portal this offseason looking for a big man or two who could come in and play starter’s minutes for Michigan State at the power forward or center spots.
That’s not exactly an easy task considering all the money that’s been flying around because of NIL over the past few years. The Spartans have landed transfers, but this offseason they’re going to need one that can start and play big minutes in the post because there’s an obvious hole in the frontcourt with Jaxon Kohler and Carson Cooper graduating.
Izzo needs a center even though he does have five-star big man Ethan Taylor coming in to go along with Jesse McCulloch and Cam Ward in the frontcourt. Four-star power forward Julius Avent and Coen Carr will be able to play the four, too, but there’s too much unproven talent down low…
