A Day of Remembrance and Reflection will take place at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 9, from 2 PM to 4 PM. The event marks the history of thousands of Japanese Americans who were held at the Stockton Assembly Center from May 10 to October 17, 1942. The program includes a guided tour, brief remarks, and light refreshments. Hosted by Okagesama, a local group preserving this site and developing the Japanese American Interpretive Center.
