The San Bernardino City Council will consider a censure resolution against one of its members.
The motion, scheduled to be introduced during the council’s regularly scheduled April 1 meeting, accuses Council Member Treasure Ortiz of violations related to her council duties, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Those alleged misdeeds include:
- Levying “serious allegations” against a city employee without merit;
- Failing to be above board regarding several assault arrests;
- Filing a false tort claim, and a false lawsuit, against the city;
- Violating conflict of interest laws, and misusing public resources;
- Retaliating against city appointees and employees, in violation of state employment laws;
- Presenting herself as a San Bernardino Police Department employee while a political candidate.
