SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — To fill the vacancy left by ousted school board commissioner Twiggy Billue, Syracuse mayor Sharon Owens appointed Desire Ndagijimana in Billue’s place.
The Syracuse City School District’s school board voted to remove Billue from her seat in January after accusing her of breaching the district’s policy over visiting school buildings without a visitor pass.
Billue denies having broken any rules and is appealing her removal with the support of the New York Civil Liberties Union…
