Syracuse police open public-facing services at new building as move continues

Syracuse, N.Y. – Tuesday marks the first full day that all of the Syracuse Police Department’s public-facing services are available at their new location away from downtown Syracuse.

Citizens can now access the police front desk, police records and other essential services at the new building at 1153 W. Fayette St., according to Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for the department.

The new building is about 1.5 miles west of the departments’ current offices at the John C. Dillon Public Safety Building at 511 S. State St. Syracuse Police and the Syracuse Fire Department have been there since the 1960s…
