EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 17-year-old girl was shot in the head while traveling in a vehicle over the weekend in Silver City, New Mexico, police there said.
Multiple subjects have been identified to be involved in the incident, Silver City Police said. Espirideon Varela, 26, has been arrested and booked into the Grant County Detention Center on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and probation violation, police said.
Just after midnight on Sunday, March 29, police in Silver City responded to a shooting near the area of Market and Corbin.
