BROWN COUNTY (WLUK) — A coalition of community organizations is working to step in after Newcap closed.
Newcap had been providing financial help to residents in a 10-county service area for more than 60 years, focusing on things like housing, home weatherization and health care. The nonprofit announced Tuesday morning it was closing immediately amid financial troubles and questions about its use of taxpayer money.
