Kansas City man faces felony charges after Chillicothe investigation

A Kansas City man faces multiple felony charges following an incident on Nov. 15, 2025, that began with a reported threat and resulted in his arrest on drug, weapon, theft, and tampering allegations, according to court documents.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Officer Zak Underwood of the Chillicothe Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 3:12 p.m. to 211 Jackson Street after receiving a report that Mitchell Lee Brown had threatened to assault someone at the residence. Dispatch advised that Brown might be driving a tan Jeep.

While traveling east on Jackson Street from Jefferson Street, Underwood observed a tan Jeep traveling west. After turning around, he lost sight of the vehicle and proceeded to the residence to investigate. A man at the home told officers that the tan Jeep in the driveway did not belong to the individual who had been driving it and stated he had been inside the vehicle when it passed officers moments earlier…
