After more than 30 years serving the Portland region, MetroPaint has permanently closed. The recycling facility and retail outlet at 825 N. Basin Avenue on Swan Island are no longer collecting, remaking, or selling paint.
Paint recycling is still available across Oregon through PaintCare, which manages nearly 200 collection sites statewide. People in the greater Portland area can drop off up to 35 gallons of paint per day for free at Metro’s household hazardous waste facilities…
