PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Over two years after stabbing a homeless man to death, a Gresham man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Friday, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
Antony Kassab, 22, was originally charged after 35-year-old Cody Funk was found unresponsive on the sidewalk near the corner of Southeast Division and 190th Avenue the day after Christmas 2023.

Though both police and paramedics arrived at the scene, it was determined he was deceased.
Detectives say Funk was “experiencing homelessness” and died as a result of homicidal violence.
