A Doral drug investigation that started with a February tip has ended with a 41-year-old man behind bars, accused of pushing fentanyl-laced MDMA pills near a local school after what officials describe as a months-long probe.
Agents moved in on March 26, recovering more than 15 grams of the tainted pills and a firearm at the suspect’s home, according to a press release from the FDLE.
Investigators say Eddie Antonio Muniz was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s South Florida S.A.F.E. Task Force and now faces multiple felony counts. Those include two counts of fentanyl trafficking, an armed-fentanyl trafficking charge, and counts of possession of fentanyl and cocaine with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school, as detailed by FDLE.
