Major roadways in Lancaster County will be closed for most of the weekend of April 17-20 as crews work on a bridge project at the Route 30 and Route 222 interchange.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that eastbound and westbound Route 30 and the bridge carrying northbound and southbound Route 222 over Route 30 will close at 9 p.m. Friday, April 17. The closure is expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday, April 20, weather permitting.
The closure will allow the contractor to erect beams on a new bridge that will carry eastbound Route 30 to northbound Route 222. If weather interferes, a backup closure is scheduled for the weekend of April 24-27…
